seasonal - words first
some sense later
The Teen has repatriated to Japan. Meaning he has gone there, been there over a week, to help his O-Baasan and keep tabs on his O-jiisan who is still in the hospital. Or rather was still a couple weeks ago. Information flow is none existent. At least I can ask his lady friend who is still in NYC what she has heard and she gives me a sliver of news. While there he hopes to find a job a niche so that the visit extends into residency. Who knows.

In other news, last Mem day weekend was spent visiting friend and family in the DC area and a day hitting DC museums. This year we go low budget with bus ride to Pittsburgh and night in hotel covered by my points accumulated over years of travelling. In fact points is how I paid the Teen's way back to Japan. I've not been very much focused on getting points but did get enough to help out.

Hmmm. Seasonal, how was that subject heading supposed to lead into comments about getting Dr. John and Slim Harpo cds from the NYC library. I've got nearly all on LP but I listen mostly only to my mp3 player so the CDs are easier to rip than doing the LP.

Time to walk on Gilded Splinters.

Life is walking on gilded splinters, particularly if you are dealing with health issues and the medical industrial insurance complex.

Love, C.
