Orange County and back

Last Thursday I was told I would have to go to Irvine CA for work. Not a good time. Still not finished with move. But maybe a good time because it is a bit of a break.

Office Park Cali style. This is where I was doing the work. No, I didn't try to play.

It has been a nutso trip, even saw a UFO.

Airplane trip was a trip. Will write about it some other time but suffice to say, Monday night it was past midnight CA time before I arrived at the hotel. Tuesday was long hectic day or work. Had to do quick small installation in one day. Got it done and was finished by 9pm.

Next day had some followup to do but did have time to get out a bit. Found this shopping center at Jamboree and Alton in Irvine that is all Asian business, except for the Greek restaurant, but the Greeks are everywhere. Had lunch at a Chinese run Ramen place. Had kimchee ramen. It was ok. I looked at the Chinese place, Capitol Seafood, decided to come back and eat either there or at one of the Korean places for dinner.

Not too far away was this military base with huge strange looking "hangers", like some sort of building for unusually large aircraft. I took a couple of pictures and there is this thing flying past which I didn't see until I looked at the photos today.

After going to a whole food and spending $50 on beer, fruit and cheese for this morning's breakfast, I went to the Asian center and finally chose the Capitol Seafood place. Pretty gaudy inside:

Inside I found that they had been killing lots of ducks and preparing them so I opted to help them get rid of them.

No, I didn't finish it. Ate half the bread but nearly all the duck.

This morning I rest, do some emails and service calls from the hotel room and purge with melon, peaches and cherries and bbq hickory potato chips and ale. Hope my body gets all the pissing done before I get on the airplane back to NYC today.

Speaking of which, I gotta start packing up to get to the airport.

Back at it.
